Hi Alim, I would like to say how impressed I was with you today at the Wadebridge Showground for Aspirations Day. I was with Delabole Primary School, Year 6, and was absolutely delighted with your attitude and manner. You had those kids hooked and we haven't stopped talking about you. I was the one who came up to you later and said how I cried when listening to your rap. Your mum must be so so proud, it hit home for me a lot, also being a mum of an 11 year old daughter and a 15 year old son. I love them dearly and don't get why I worry so much. Amazing, I can't praise you enough. Anyway would you be able to send a signed photo with some aspiring words we could frame and display. My daughter is now following you on twitter and my son has watched your carrot, egg and coffee bean story.
Thank you.

Dear Alim,
What can I say!!! Well I can actually say quite a lot as my friends and family tell me... But with regards to your 'Story Telling' performance I am speechless. In the words of French & Saunders you are 'Absolutely Fabulous' - your gestures, your body language, tone etc were as the young people say 'on point' (translates to flawless, impeccable, immaculate).. I have attended many solo artist performances reciting poems or telling stories but nothing like I experienced at the 'UN Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination Event- 21st March 2016'. You captured every single persons attention and had them totally spellbound..
The story regarding the 'Donkey' at the end of the event was again 'on point', funny, relevant, and inspiring - I will not spoil it for anyone reading this testimony but just to say the message and 'caption' are firmly embedded in my mind and as I told you I changed my Whatsapp caption to reflect the key message of the story..(you know those famous 6 words that you made us repeat)... You are a real inspiration to young people and the 'not so young' :-) I felt very privileged to see you perform especially as I was not able to get tickets to Soweto Voices the previous Saturday.. Keep up the inspirational work, keep educating the young and refreshing the 'not so young' :-).. Let me know where I can find your next performances as I will definitely be bringing an entourage..
Congrats and sincere best wishes

Having already seen Alim Kamara perform on stage, I knew that the year 5 children at Langtons Junior Academy were in for a treat! From the first to the very last storytelling workshop at the end of the day, the energy that he upheld was infectious. Children and adults who were lucky enough to have experienced this workshop were fixated on every story told and couldn't help but join in with the interactive games, actions and discussions. Each story encapsulated a moral that the children were able draw understanding from. The children were not only educated through challenging misconceptions, but were also empowered to believe in themselves and have a positive outlook. Alim Kamara had such an amazing connection and impact on our pupils and I know that this experience will be one that they will remember in many years to come. We look forward to inviting Alim back very soon!

Hi Alim
Thanks so much for this. I really appreciate you sending it.
The kids were really buzzing after your visit and we are using the “small steps” theme in a lot of our mentoring. Look forward to another visit in the future.
All the best

Really enjoyed what I saw at your workshop today. Your energy and presence were empowering and it is refreshing to see individuals making a difference in a youth culture that is surrounded by uncertainty and street attitudes. Wish I could have spent some more time chatting to you, but the transient nature of the day seemed to make it difficult.
