What do I do after parents evening?
Parents evening are usually in the evening, parents are tired and drag their feet to gathering about a ton of information that is important but needs to be balanced with some motivation and fun. We are the team you to make that happen!

WHY MOTIVATE BIG PEOPLE ?
The challenge for us as educators is to remember that we have chosen the most important profession; it is essential that we remind ourselves of this every day. The additional challenge for educational leaders is to help those we work with feel this level of importance each day. In education, we cannot afford to have a bad day -- because the students we work with deserve never to have a bad day because of us.

To provide a practical example: I always have a number of children in my class who are not supported or reminded to meet their nightly reading expectations. These are children from privileged, almost wholly English speaking families. I try to impress upon parents just how vital regular reading is to academic achievement, but too often it's to no avail. How can I persuade parents to devote just 15 minutes per day to reading with their kids?
